How to play Timeline

One card sits on the table with its year showing. You are handed a card with its year behind a question mark: pick the gap it belongs in — before the first card, between two of them, or after the last. The reveal gives you the year, the gap it belonged in and the source the year was checked against.

Today's run is ten placements, the same ten for everyone, 100 points each. Three wrong placements end it, and the row gets longer and the gaps get tighter the further you go. The endless run deals for as long as your hearts hold out and keeps your best for every theme.

A card never shares its year with a card already on the table, so exactly one gap is ever right. Pick a theme — films, video games, music, consoles & tech — and each one is its own daily puzzle, with its own draw, its own progress and its own share link.
