How to play Release Year

Two cards, one question. The card on the left shows what it is and the year it came out; the card on the right keeps its year behind a question mark. Call ⬅️ Earlier or ➡️ Later, and the reveal gives you both years, which way round they fall, how far apart they are and the source the year was checked against.

Today's run is ten calls, the same ten for everyone, 50 points each. A wrong call costs its points but never ends the run, so the score is comparable. The endless run is the opposite: one wrong call and it is over, and your best run is kept for every theme.

The card you have just called becomes the reference for the next one, so a run is a chain. Pick a theme — films, video games, music, consoles & tech — and each one is its own daily puzzle, with its own draw, its own progress and its own share link.
